At Konema Women CBO

We Support women, girls and trans-people to Reach Their Full Potential

WHAT WE DO

01

— Goat Farm & Breeding Centre

Our flagship project — the Goat Farm — was launched to generate income for our programs while teaching women livestock management and entrepreneurship. The farm is now a thriving model for rural women’s economic empowerment. Profits are reinvested into community health, education, and GBV prevention.

02

— Ending Gender Based Violence (GBV)

We run community dialogues, provide survivor support, and partner with local leaders to challenge harmful cultural norms. Safe spaces, listening circles, and emergency referrals ensure that women and girls are heard, protected, and supported.

03

— We Strengthen

We build the confidence, knowledge, and leadership of women and girls through workshops on rights, healing, and community action. By strengthening individuals, we strengthen the whole community.

04

— We Educate

We believe education is liberation. Our mentorship programs, school partnerships, and scholarships ensure girls stay in school, build confidence, and grow into leaders who shape their futures — and their communities..

05

— Feminist Leadership & Advocacy

Through training, storytelling, and collective action, we prepare women and youth to take on leadership roles, influence policy, and speak truth to power. Our work amplifies the voices of those often silenced, especially in traditional governance spaces.

06

— We Consult

We offer culturally grounded, gender-responsive consulting for NGOs, institutions, and community leaders seeking to work ethically with Maasai women and girls. Our lived experience and feminist lens ensure real impact, not tokenism.
